After a car accident, Michelle Krenek said she experienced severe headaches, neck pain, numbness and tingling in her extremities. A friend recommended that she see a chiropractor.

“Once I started seeing a chiropractor, not only did my pain, numbness, tingling and headaches go away, but I noticed that my sleep got better, my allergies got better, my energy got better,” Krenek said.

At the time, Krenek was a high school teacher, but due to her results, she changed careers and enrolled at Parker University, formerly Parker College of Chiropractic, in Dallas. She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic in 2008.

In 2010 she opened Back to Life Chiropractic in San Antonio. After working there for nine years, she sold the practice and opened Back to Life Chiropractic DFW in Colleyville in 2019.

Krenek said her patients report similar results after seeing her for pain she saw herself when she sought treatment.

“People say they sleep better [and] have more energy; her digestion is better; [they] Got allergy relief, have a better range of motion, run faster and her pain is gone,” she said.

Being skilled in a variety of techniques, Krenek says she makes adjustments for all ages.

“I want people to understand through the educational process that to me, chiropractic care is not just about pain, it’s about health, wellness and prevention so they can make choices about how to implement it in their lives,” Krenek said.

She said her company name is not just a play on words, but also shows people that chiropractic care is about more than neck and back pain.

“People go through life thinking they need to be in pain or feel a certain way, and they don’t realize how good they can feel,” she said. “I feel like chiropractic is bringing her back to life.”

First visit checklist: Michelle Krenek said these are her top priorities for a first-time patient visit. 1. Listen to find out why they came to see them. 2. Educate them about what chiropractic care is so they can figure out how to implement it in their lives. 3. Provide recommendations for future care.
