Seattle (AP) Salvador Perez returns home for three consecutive games and leads the Kansas City Royals in the 37th I did.

Whit Merrifield was also home to Kansas City, which won three straight wins in Seattle to undermine the Mariners’ post-season aspirations.

Merrifield reached the eleventh home run of his career on the second pitch of the game from starter Tyler Anderson (6-9). Perez, who hit a Grand Slam in each of the first two games in the series, hit two outs in the fifth round and narrowly missed Dylan Moore’s jump on the left outer wall.

Cam Gallagher added an RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning after Emmanuel Rivera doubled in a pop-up that fell into the outfield between Jarred Kelenic and Mitch Haniger.

Seattle picked an inopportune time for a three-game slip, especially after the successful 6-2 road trip that saw the Mariners continue to compete in the AL wildcard race. They started a 41/2 game day behind Boston for the final location.

The Mariners’ first run was Cal Raleigh’s Grand Slam walk in the fifth inning and was the only run attributed to starter Daniel Lynch. Lynch missed the win in just 42/3 innings, but the Royals bullpen was strong.

Domingo Tapia, Joel Payamps (1-3) and Scott Barlow combined 4 1/3 innings to allow for 4 hits and 1 run. Barlow was in trouble for the ninth time in a string of double-outs from Haniger and Luis Torrens, but defeated Kyle Seager to end his tenth save.

Royals Relief has earned three runs in 162/3 innings in the first three games of the series.

Anderson was great apart from two homers. The left side came 8th for the second time that season but was pulled out after Nicky Lopez led the inning with a single. Anderson allowed eight hits and made six strikeouts.

Anderson has started with at least five fields for 26 consecutive fields, 24 of which have been served this season.

Shuffle player list

Seattle stormed into the squad ahead of Saturday’s game, with outfielder Jake Fraley on the disabled list for 10 days due to a right shoulder injury. Frehley appeared injured when he hit a wall in the 12th inning of Friday’s loss to steal a home run.

Left-handed relief player Anthony Missy Bitch was also on the list of injured for 10 days due to tension in his left forearm.

Seattle remembered RHP Wyatt Mills and chose RHP Jimmy Ya Cabonis from the Triple A Tacoma. IF Shed Long Jr. was put on the 60-day casualty list to clear 40 people’s roster. RHP Keynan Middleton was also fully appointed to Tacoma after being assigned to the mission earlier this week.
