Still served in liters at Wimbledon, the Pimm’s Cup is one of the best summer cocktails in England. But you don’t have to be British to enjoy this centuries-old mix. With just a few simple ingredients, even a Yank Pimm’s most popular punch can conjure up.
Of course, Tribe couldn’t resist adding a swab of our high quality CBD oil to this historic cocktail. We know this inclusion is contrary to tradition. However, once people feel the effects of CBD, we doubt any “Pimms purists” will protest.
CBD Pimm’s Cup cocktail recipe
While no messing is required with this cocktail, it adds a lot of flavor to your Pimm’s Cup. If you love intense sweetness and earthiness, consider mixing half of your fresh fruits and herbs in a cocktail shaker. After a slight mess, add ice, shake and strain into your highball glass.
Just remember not to shred your ingredients when using your muddler. As we mentioned in our Gin Basil Smash recipe, there is a fine line between releasing essential oils and blistering your herbs.
If you tear up your mint leaves, it gives off an unpleasant “grassy” taste. While this allows you to flaunt your biceps, your guests won’t be impressed with the flavors of your cocktail.

- ½ oz lemon juice
- ~ 4 ounces ginger ale
- 1 drop of Tribe CBD oil
- Sprig of mint
- Different berries, sliced apples or orange wedges
- Sliced cucumber
- Pour ice into a long drink glass
- Pour Pimm’s No. 1 and lemon juice
- Add enough ginger ale to fill your glass
- Drizzle with a pipette of Tribe CBD oil
- Garnish with mint, cucumber and fruits of your choice
Since Pimm’s has been around for centuries, these brilliant British guys had plenty of time to come up with dozens of cocktail variations. Probably the best-known substitute for a Pimm’s Cup is to use sparkling lemonade instead of ginger ale and lemon juice.
For those who want to be extra chic, you have to treat yourself to a bottle of sparkling wine! People who use champagne in their Pimm’s Cup technically enjoy the “royal” interpretation.
Last but not least, while we haven’t mentioned it too often, why not add a bit of “Italian flair” with DIY limoncello? Learn how to make incredible limoncello in this previous Tribe CBD blog post.
