Chamber Welcomes 2 New Companies and Announces Banquet Date | Mclean County

Good morning McLean County! Hopefully at the time of reading the temperature has risen a bit and it’s more spring-like weather.

We would like to welcome these two new companies to the McLean County Chamber and wish them every success.

Sammy Jean’s Cafe at 273 Main St. in Calhoun is open for breakfast and lunch seven days a week. They have a variety of dishes and a special lunch every day. Samantha also makes specialty baked goods, cookies, cakes, cupcakes, and other items upon request. You can reach her at 270-208-7075 to place a takeout order or she has a few tables in the cafe for you to set. On February 22nd we will cut a ribbon in the café.

The BigOStop Smoke Shop opened Tuesday at 507 Henton Street in Livermore with a ribbon cutting and grand opening. You can reach the store with questions at 270-608-8487; Rocky Patel is happy to help.

The next McLean County Chamber meeting will be on February 24th with Calhoun Chiropractic as our guest speaker. Join us in person for lunch and midday networking in our Chamber Building Loft. You’ll also learn how visiting a chiropractor can help you with headaches, sinus problems, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction with just a few minor adjustments.

We will also vote on three new board members. Your voice and opinion matter and help make McLean County Chamber a county win.

The annual McLean County Chamber banquet is scheduled for April 28th. Save the date and plan your attendance. We always have a great meal and you can’t beat the community.

We give out our awards for Company of the Year, Citizen of the Year, School Employee of the Year (does not have to be a teacher), a $500 scholarship to a deserving student residing or attending school in McLean County (does not have to be be a high school student) and Entrepreneur of the Year (must have been in business less than three years).

We are looking for companies that can provide a meal for 200-250 people at Buck Creek Baptist Church in Livermore. If you would like to be considered for bidding on the food please contact me as soon as possible. You can email me your website or menu at [email protected] You do not have to be a McLean County corporation. We serve it in buffet style and you have to deliver and set up; we take care of the cleaning.
