Meredith Phillips is young, lively and healthy. Hence, the 21-year-old certainly doesn’t seem like someone who has the same problems as a 75-year-old. But the Kingsland resident is proof that pain does not discriminate.
It started when she had problems with her lower back and hips.
“I had quite a lot of pain in my lower back and hip,” she said on the couch from Dr. Jen Heller’s office in Braunschweig. “I also have fibromyalgia.”
In fact, it got so bad that the college student had difficulty completing basic tasks. She could not climb the stairs to her dormitory or do basic, everyday tasks.
“I couldn’t drive for more than 30 minutes. It hurt when I sat or lay down. It was pretty bad, ”said Meredith.
Of course, her mother Tracey was very worried. Walking through various doctor’s offices didn’t help, and when she heard of Dr. When Jen Heller heard about treating patients with serious ailments, she decided it was worth exploring.
When Meredith arrived, I knew that she was not only keeping an eye on her muscles and joints (physical stress), but also the level of inflammation (chemical stress) for her entire body, ”said Heller.
“We did a full body exam, including hair analysis, food sensitivity tests, and a complete blood count,” she said. “DR. Jen listens really well and doesn’t knock you out.”
This provided Heller’s team with a thorough understanding of Meredith’s situation as well as a convenient starting point to begin treatment. In fact, it provided a more complete picture of the Phillips family than Meredith had ever received.
“We knew more about Meredith’s health when we came here than we did in the 19 years we went to pediatricians and other doctors,” said Tracey.
Among other things, Heller noted that Meredith suffered from scoliosis, was hypermobile, and had a number of food intolerances.
“Milk and wheat … but also bananas and blueberries, which was surprising,” says Meredith with a laugh.

Meredith also received chiropractic adjustments from Dr. Lighter, which brought a lot of relief. But ultimately, because of her pre-existing arthritis, she decided to research regenerative medicine to maximize her results.
“I also had fairly extensive joint instability, so I decided to do some research on stem cells. I had the injections in my ankles, wrists and hips, ”she said.
While she was a little nervous when she went into the procedure, the results turned out to be nothing short of a miracle.
“Oh yes, I was nervous. You don’t know what to expect, ”she said with a laugh. “But within 48 hours I saw a significant difference in the stability of my joints. Then I had no pain … in my wrists, hips, or lower back. I also had headaches from time to time, which are now gone. “
“The stability and the functional change that I have seen in her every day since the treatment with regenerative medicine were amazing. I’m so happy with her changes, she followed her plan to the limit, ”said Heller.
Meredith continues to receive chiropractic treatment to keep her body in harmony and as healthy as possible. And she is incredibly grateful for taking steps early to secure her future health. She definitely recommends people with pain – regardless of age – to call their practice to arrange additional advice.
“You really don’t have to pop an Aleve every day. I’m glad I don’t have to live like this anymore. That was the solution I was looking for, ”said Meredith.
