The 29th Annual Old Courthouse 5K, Saturday 11th June 2022

For over 29 years, runners and fun-seekers from across the Atlanta area and beyond have flocked to Fayetteville on a specific Saturday in June. This attraction is the annual Old Courthouse 5K. Participants, volunteers, and spectators, united by a common interest in service, will experience the opportunity to help those most vulnerable in our community. The 29th Annual Old Courthouse 5K is organized and directed by the Fayette County Civitan Club on Saturday, June 11th. Proceeds from the event go directly to organizations that help families with extraordinary children in our community. Some of these are Joseph Sams School, Fayette ExceptionalOPS, Fayette County Special Olympics, Two Sparrows Village, Southside Support, Camp Big Heart ( and Southwest Christian Care (Hospice, Hope House, Senior Care, Pastoral Care ).

The run begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Fayette County Senior Services Center near the Fayette County Justice Center, @ 4 Center Drive in Fayetteville. Registration for the Day of Race begins at 7:00 am, pre-registration is available online at: or on -Race/29th-Annual-Old-Courthouse-5k-2022.

The 5K is an open racing event and does not restrict participants by age, gender or ability. As in previous years, there will be some crazy awesome door prizes, refreshments and the overwhelmingly popular Old Court House 5K t-shirts for all registered attendees. Door prizes are provided by some of our corporate sponsors, wonderful donors and the Fayette County Civitan Club.

OC5K could not be a success without the support of our sponsors. These include our main sponsors Your Pie Pizza from PTC, Chick-fil-A Inc and Chick-fil-A Dwarf House of Fayetteville. Our Gold Sponsor ER Walker Flooring Specialists/Shaw Floors returns in 2022. Action Tire Company and Delta Community Credit Union and Play it Again Sports are onboard as Silver Sponsors, while the following continue as Bronze Sponsors: Kroger (Town Hall), Allen Chiropractic, Broadway Diner, Pyke and Associates PC, Vic’s Auto Air and Brake Service and Grand Courier of Fayetteville. Please support our sponsors to be servants of their community. This year’s event would not have been possible without the collaboration and support of the Fayetteville Police Department, led by Chief Scott Gray, and the Fayette Senior Services and Life Enrichment Center.
