Uganda resumes its COVID-19 vaccination.

Exercise for the 175,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine begins today and ends on Friday, July 2, in all districts.

The country’s health ministry announced that the campaign will begin with health workers and people to be given a second dose.

“Due to the current lockdown, the district health officers will ensure that all authorized persons are reached and vaccinated.” The ministry announced.

According to the ministry, more vaccines should be available by the end of July.

Uganda received on June 16 175,200 COVID-19 cans from the COVAX Facility, a donation from the French Embassy in Uganda.
