Micah Raskin discusses the benefits of chiropractic treatment

Micah Raskin OnThe Benefits Of Chiropractic Treatment

NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK, UNITED STATES, Sep 29, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – In America, over 70 million people experience chronic pain, including migraines and lower back pain. While pain relievers can be helpful, they are not always a long-term solution. Negative side effects, high prices and above all the risk of addiction make people look for a more holistic treatment for their chronic pain.

An alternative pain treatment is chiropractic, says Micah Raskin. Especially for those who suffer from back pain, migraines, TMJ or neck pain. Chiropractic is most associated with realigning the spine – subtle adjustment of the spine in place, combined with muscle stimulation and rehabilitation. It shows how much more real chiropractic is, says Raskin.

Chiropractic is affordable

A study of the financial benefits of chiropractic care was conducted in 2016. They followed Medicare patients with chronic back pain who sought chiropractic treatment. The control group took more traditional treatments such as pain relievers.

The study found that those who underwent chiropractic treatment had lower overall costs. They also spent less time on treatment. This is because chiropractic is focused on fixing the problem, not just the symptoms, says Micah Raskin.

Chiropractic reduces the need for opioids, says Micah Raskin

If you have chronic pain, you will likely be offered opioid pain medication treatment at some point to deal with it. For many people, this is the only treatment that will relieve their suffering, says Micah Raskin. But for those with back pain, neck pain, migraines, or other skeletal muscle aches and pains, chiropractic care may be a healthier alternative.

In 2020, a study of researchers interested in pain management and chiropractic care was completed. The study compared opioid prescriptions for those who used chiropractic with those who did not.

They found that patients who visited the chiropractor were less likely to keep their opioid prescriptions. This could be due to a number of factors, says Micah Raskin, including greater pain reduction and a preference for holistic care.

Chiropractic helps relieve back pain

Perhaps the best reason to seek chiropractic care is for effective, reliable pain relief and increased range of motion, according to Micah Raskin. While chiropractic treatment is not for everyone and cannot cure pain caused by degenerative diseases and conditions, it can be an excellent alternative to steroid injections, surgery, and other invasive, painful procedures.

The ACP (American College of Physicians) recommends doctors suggesting drug treatments for back pain to their patients, including yoga, tai chi, acupuncture, chiropractic with rehabilitation sessions, and meditation.

Even versus placebo groups, a 2019 study found that chiropractic treatment improved function, range of motion, and pain.
