You’re IT Back to Basics Nutritional Advice!

Three questions for Lisa Bunce, dietician / nutritionist and founder of Back to Basics Nutrition Consulting.

Why did you start your company?

I am a registered nutritionist with over 30 years of experience helping clients achieve their health and weight management goals. I started Back to Basics Nutrition Consulting to help people make positive health changes in their lives. You can exercise as much as you want, but if you don’t eat healthily, you won’t get the full benefit from weight loss and vice versa. We can educate you on how to incorporate healthy eating and exercise into your lifestyle, and create a customized plan to help you achieve your health promotion, disease prevention, and weight management goals.

What is your best selling product or service?

Nutritional advice. We specialize in digestive health (Monash University FODMAP certified); Behavior modification for sustainable change; and customized plans to meet all of your health and weight management goals.

Do you use local businesses to support your business?

Ridgefield Office Supply (also known as “Squash’s”) is an excellent resource for my business needs, and since my customer base is being referred by many local medical groups, I suppose I inadvertently endorse them too. And of course every small business needs a solid relationship with a financial institution. I’ve been a customer of Fairfield County Bank since day one and they continue to meet all of my business and personal banking needs. I really appreciated the personal service as I ran my business through all of the changes that occurred during the last year of the pandemic.

Have you reinvented your business?

COVID has forced me to explore and expand my telemedicine offerings.
