President Biden issued a statement on today to confirm his decision to nominate two local stars to be part of the president’s Council on Sports, Fitness, & Nutrition. Bethesda’s Restaurateur Jose Andres and Washington Mystics star Elena Delle Donne will serve as co-chairs of the group.

The president’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition is an advisory committee of the Federal government that works to encourage healthy, accessible food choices and physical activity regardless of age or background.
