FWCS organizes job fair for nutritional services;  Dozens of jobs available

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) – Fort Wayne Community Schools (FWCS) announced that they will be hosting a nutrition services job fair on Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the FWCS Nutrition Processing Center, 3211 W. Ludwig Rd.

Attendees will be able to ask questions, get assistance with the application process, be interviewed on site, and tour the Nutrition Processing Center, FWCS said. There are currently dozens of nutrition departments in Fort Wayne school locations and in the Nutrition Processing Center.

This event is public and no pre-registration is required. Children are very welcome. Applicants must have a college degree or equivalent and be willing and able to pass a criminal background exam and drug test.

“The nutrition service team plays a vital role in Fort Wayne Community Schools, ensuring that all students have access to a nutritious breakfast and lunch every day. Its importance has been further emphasized over the past 18 months as the pandemic presented various challenges for students and families and increased the staffing of the nutrition services to meet the nutritional needs of the students, “FWCS said.
