West Plains, MO – The University of Missouri Extension is hosting a workshop on horse nutrition and pasture management on September 9th at 4:30 pm. Sarah Kenyon, PhD, Agronomy Specialist, will speak about pasture management for horses. Elizabeth Picking, Livestock Specialist, will speak about horses’ nutritional needs and feed choices. The practical part of this workshop focuses on weed detection and hay evaluation. Horse owners interested in learning more about how to manage their pastures, choose quality hay, meet their horse’s nutritional needs, and identify problematic weeds in their pastures should join Howell County Extension for an evening of dinner and study.
