New Animal Health and Nutrition Center opened at K-State's Veterinary Health Center

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – Kansas State University has partnered with Hill’s Pet Nutrition to expand and modernize the Veterinary Health Center’s veterinary clinic.

K-State’s Veterinary Health Clinic now offers expanded pet health and nutrition services aimed at eradicating pet obesity.

Hill’s Pet Nutrition helped fund the new facility and provided nutritionists to teach Vet Med students about pet health and nutrition.

“With this partnership, we have been able to establish a new primary care center that provides clinical nutrition services and training to our veterinary students and trainees.” Kansas State University Veterinary Health Clinic, interim hospital director, said dr. Beth Davis.

“Pets are at the center of our lives so they need to be looked after very carefully and proper nutrition is an essential part of that.” Hill’s Pet Nutrition, chief professional veterinary officer, says Jolle Kirpensteijn.

There was a ribbon cut and grand opening for the Hills Per Health and Nutrition Center on Friday morning, followed by factory tours.
