I’m Breanna Staab and I hit an all-time low in 2016. I was the heaviest I’ve ever had and I knew I had to change something.
I started studying nutrition and physical activity, and as my clothes got baggy, I found a level of confidence I never knew. I became a certified personal trainer and when I realized how much fun debunking diet myths I decided to switch my major to pursue a career in nutrition.
I graduated from Nicholls State University with a BS in Allied Health Science and Nutrition in May 2020. I have been with LSU AgCenter since October 2020 when I started as a nutrition educator in the communities of Natchitoches and Sabine.
In May, I was promoted to nutritionist for the Pointe Coupee and St. Landry parishes. I’m also pursuing my Masters in Public Health at LSU.
I offer nutrition classes for adults and children that include disease management, general nutrition, cooking and canning classes, and exercise classes.
I also work within the community to make policy, system and environmental changes to improve health outcomes through preventive action.
