Kothagudem: A feeding center is to be set up at Bhadrachalam District Hospital to treat children suffering from malnutrition, said District Collector D. Anudeep.
He toured the work of the nutrition center and a dialysis center in the hospital on Saturday. He referred the District Hospital Services Coordinator (DCHS) Dr. Mukkanteshwar Rao to endeavor to install all equipment approved for the hospital as soon as possible.
The Collector said that children suffering from malnutrition would be transferred to the area hospital for quality treatment under medical supervision. The children would be monitored regularly and arrangements would be made for the children’s mothers to stay in hospital.

Anudeep directed the health authorities to prepare and submit proposals for the establishment of another feeding center in the district in addition to the one in Bhadrachalam. The feeding centers were set up because many newborns were found to be underweight.
