NAPOLEON – Henry County Hospital recently welcomed Dr. Vithal Shendge, MD, in the HCH orthopedic practice. Dr. Shendge has over 20 years of orthopedic experience. Its services include the diagnosis and treatment of most orthopedic injuries, including:

• fractures and dislocations

• Tendon and ligament injuries

• Sore, swollen, or injured joints

• Wrist, elbow, hand and shoulder pain

• Primary and revision arthroplasty of the hip and knee

• Shoulder arthroplasty

Dr. Shendge’s career has included clinical fellowships in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Most recently, Dr. Shendge served as Tenure Track Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Medical Center of the University of Toledo. He is a leading expert in the diagnosis and treatment of knee and lower extremity disorders, hip and pelvic bone disorders, and intra-articular joint injections. In addition, he specializes in complex and innovative procedures for pain relief and functional improvement.
