He is also an active member of the St. Mary's Chamber of Commerce (2009 small business of the year), and Calvert Chamber of Commerce (2008 small business of the year) and a sponsor of numerous sports teams, schools, clubs and scholastic scholarships. Alexander Chiropractic Center has held its Kids Day event on the 3rd Saturday of May for the past 10 years. This event has been recognized by the St. Mary's and Calvert County Commissioners , Senator Roy Dyson, and U.S. representative Steny Hoyer.
