Packer, M.D.,F.A.C.S., F.A.A.N.S. as the founder of the Brain and Spine Center South Florida located in Delray Beach.

While he is able to diagnose and treat many different brain and neurosurgical disorders and conditions, Dr. Packer, who has been in practice at Boca Raton since 2005, is primarily focused on the treatment and diagnosis of spinal conditions, such as spinal disc bulges and herniations back and neck pain; back problems; spinal compression fractures; and sciatica.

His experience as a neurosurgeon has provided Dr. Packer with requisite microsurgery expertise to treat the most complicated ailments in the spine. “We utilize the most up-to-date minimally invasive procedures in spine surgeries,” he says. “As an expert in treating conditions of the nervous system I’m better able to decide which procedure is the best option for every patient.”

No matter if patients require surgery or not, no matter what the procedure, Dr. Packer strives to find the least invasive and efficient treatments. The practice provides treatment for pain, as well as an array of nonsurgical treatments for pain. He would prefer to start an exchange with his patients to figure out what options is the most effective for patients.

“Many patients we treat can be treated without surgery. We try to assist them in understanding the options for treatment to make an informed decision,” he says.

The Dr. Packer is the Medical Director of Neurosurgery at the Marcus Neuroscience Institute at Boca Raton Regional Hospital and has held a variety of other leadership positions in Boca Raton Regional Hospital. Dr. Packer also treats trauma patients in the Delray Medical Center.

Along with a office and a location at Boca Raton Regional Hospital, Dr. Packer has locations in Delray Beach and Palm Beach Gardens and also has access to Good Samaritan Medical Center and Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center.

The Dr. Packer has been a Diplomate from the American Board for Neurological Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and an assistant professor in the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University.
